Steve was diagnosed with throat cancer in October of 2007. After surgery and radiation treatment, he is back to work creating beauty in everything he does.

Steve Bowhay started Yard Doctor Landscape in the early 1980s. When he and Cindy married in 1988, they started building greenhouses and growing their flowers locally.

Together, Steve and Cindy have built the Yard Doctor and Glacier Gardens into thriving local businesses that offer employment opportunities for many people in Juneau.

Local gardeners are always confident that the purchases they make at the nursery are of healthy, hardy stock that will thrive in Southeast's wet environment. They also appreciate all the gracious assistance offered by Steve, Cindy and their employees.
